Creating, Reading, Updating, and Deleting (CRUD) Data by Users

Defining CRUD permissions for your users.

Having registered users is good, but it’s even better when your users can interact with your app, creating new data, updating or deleting existing entries, and so on. This functionality is crucial if you have, for instance, built a client portal, where clients can log in and make updates on the progress of their projects, or if your team has created an internal tool for a team wiki, where all the team members are supposed to add new resources, update their public profiles, and more.

Well, as soon as you have created user groups for your Softr app, you can start setting up create, update, or delete action for those user groups through Action Buttons. For example, if we return to the previous example about a team wiki, you might want all your employees to be able to update their public profiles, while letting only HR managers make changes to the vacation policies. All of that can be easily configured in Softr.
