# TinyURL integration

Connect TinyURL with your Softr applications to turn long, unwieldy URLs into short, shareable links automatically. Build workflows that shorten links the moment they're needed — when a form is submitted, a record is added, or a new member signs up — so every link you share is clean and easy to pass along.

## Overview

The Softr TinyURL integration links your no-code apps directly to your TinyURL account. Whenever your workflow produces a URL worth sharing — a referral link, a campaign page, a personalized signup link — you can automatically shorten it into a TinyURL link with a custom alias, your choice of short domain, and optional tags and expiration, then store or send the short link anywhere in your app.

Whether you're building a marketing dashboard, a member portal, or a referral program, the TinyURL integration keeps every shared link short, readable, and on-message — powered by one of the longest-running URL shorteners on the web.

## Available Actions

### Create link

Shorten any URL into a TinyURL link with an optional custom alias, short domain (tinyurl.com, tiny.one, or rotf.lol), tags, expiration date, and description — all set dynamically from your Softr workflow. The short link comes back ready to store in a record, send in an email, or show to your users.

### Update link

Change a link's metadata — move it to another domain, rename its alias, replace its tags or description, set a new expiration date, or toggle click-analytics collection. Pick the link from a live dropdown of the aliases in your connected TinyURL account.

### Change destination

Point an existing short link at a new destination URL, so links you've already shared start leading somewhere new — perfect for rotating promos behind one permanent short link. Available on paid TinyURL plans.

### Archive link

Deactivate a link and move it to your archived list when a campaign ends or a link shouldn't be used anymore — reversible from your TinyURL dashboard.

### List links

Retrieve the links in your connected TinyURL account — active or archived — to loop over them, sync them into a Softr table, or build reports.

## How to Connect Softr with TinyURL

1. Open your Softr workspace and go to **Workflows**.
2. Create a new workflow or open an existing one, then add a TinyURL action.
3. In the **Account** field, click **Add another account** and paste your TinyURL **API token**.
4. To create an API token, open TinyURL and go to **Account → Settings → API**, then generate a new token.
5. Click **Save** — Softr verifies your token and connects the account.
6. Map the **Destination URL** from your Softr forms, records, or previous workflow steps, optionally pick a domain and add an alias, tags, or an expiration date, then activate your workflow.
